The Washington Wizards 109-103 Wednesday against a Orlando magic team that had been struggling of late. The Wizards kept things close, but were ultimately outplayed in an exciting, and point-filled, fourth quarter. In all, 75 points were scored in the fourth between the two teams. The Wizards continue to play some terrible basketball away from home. They are just 1-9 in away games this year. Given this, some credit must be given for their effort against a tough Magic team.

The Magic were led by Ryan Howard and Dwight Howard. Both scored 23 in the contest and Howard also added a whopping 18 rebounds. The Magic scored 40 points in the fourth, and final, quarter which ultimately won them the game. They are now 13-9 on the season and are 3 games back of Atlanta for the lead in the division. The Magic also improved their home record to 7-4.

The Wizards, on the other hand, drop to just 4-18 on the year. There were some bright spots to speak of from the Washington sideline however. Nick Young led all with 24 points in the game. Trevor Booker also added 9 rebounds while John Wall had 10 assists in the contest. In the end, the Wizards are a staggering 12 games back of the Hawks for the division lead. Despite a good offensive showing, and a 35 point fourth quarter, the Wizards still find a way to cast a bad spell on themselves. Apparently Orlando’s Magic works better then that of the Wizards from Washington.
