Another Disappointing Day In Dallas
The benching of Donovan McNabb earlier in the week meant one thing to most 'Skins fans, the 'Skins have thrown in the towel for the season, and that 'Skins coach Mike Shanahan is beginning Dallas week with the waving of the white flag.
The score of today's game was 33-30, Dallas. The 'Skins came from way behind in the fourth quarter and tied the game before losing it, in the last fifty seconds by a 39-yard Dallas field goal. But Dallas has a weak team -- a weak team that beat the 'Skins, which is a losing team. Both teams are now 5-9 for the season.
This loss for the 'Skins makes it four looses in a row, and six losses in the last seven games.
The new starting quarterback, Rex Grossman, blessed by a very weak Dallas defense, was able to get four touchdowns, but he wasn't blessed enough, because he threw two interceptions, one of which was an "Oh, boy" -- called in the hogs, closed the gates for the "Skins, and made the day a stomach cramping and teeth grinding loss.
'Skins head coach Mike Shanahan said of Rex Grossman's performance, "I thought he demonstrated a lot of poise and played well. He performed like a veteran should perform."
Well, the 'Skins lost, and lost to one of the weakest teams in football, lost a game they needed to, and should have won
McNabb stood on the sidelines, maybe he could have gotten a victory here, maybe not. But Shanahan got a loss.
