I am a 'Skins fan. I remain a 'Skins fan. I shall always be a 'Skins fan. And I want to be a cheering 'Skin's fan. But there is no cheer and no joy among 'Skins fans.
Yesterday, in New Jersey, the team was beaten 31-7, as the Giants scored and scored, and scored, and the hopes for a playoff appearance fell deeper and deep into the pit of impossibility.
Some yokel, -- yes, certain yokels are native to New York City -- suggested that I should burn or at least bury my 'Skin jersey. This loud foul mouth poor winner, then said: "Bury it, don't burned it. We don't want smoke from your stinking 'Skins jersey fouling up the air."
What abuse us, fans, are forced to suffer! What could I have said? 31-7? You can't make up excuses. I did ask this New Your hick what was he doing in D.C. do-do mouthing the team? But that question only made him happier.
The sports commentators said that it was cold and windy in Jersey, in that ball park in East Rutherford, where the New York Giants play. I don't care what the weather said it was, but it felt colder where I was in D.C.
The Associate Press summed up the 'Skins loss -- "The loss was the fifth in seven games for the Redskins, who were their own worst enemy. Not only did they have the turnovers, but receivers dropped passes and Donovan McNabb was sacked four times and knocked to the ground at least a half dozen times."
McNabb was intercepted twice.. The team didn't tackle well. The defense couldn't stop the run. The team is 5-7 heading toward idleness during playoff.
The Giants played well -- or the 'Skins played poorly? The Giants are 8-4, and are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for first place in the NFC East.
