The Associated Press has placed a short video on the web in which AP NFL writer Barry Wilner previews the NFC. He mentions the teams that count: the Saints and Cowboys, et.al. Even the Vikings. He makes no mention of the Washington Redskins. Why is that? Because a great and honored franchise has fallen on hard times, has fallen and has failed to get up.
What is hurting the once mighty Washington team, king of the gridiron, that; beacon of wellness and joy, which filled the hearts of fans those, what now seem like, many long years ago? Those glory years, which now seem distant, even ancient -- that age of glory and success, those times of joy and celebration, those happy, happy, bright days, have been replaced by the dark age of Danny Boi, (.Daniel M. Snyder current owner of the Washington Redskins ). It is as if a boil has been placed on the backside of luck, and success has been sucked away.
But fans still have hope. A new season begins, and all we have is hope. Hope is all we have.
