Danny Boi must have bumped his thick head. Upset with the Nov. 19, 2010 article in The Washington City Paper, called "The Cranky Redskin Fan’s Guide to Dan Snyder," by Dave McKenna, he demanded, through his lawyers, that City Paper stop reporting on him, or that it stop McKenna from reporting on him and /or the Redskins. or else. Yes, Danny Boi sent his lawyers out to try to intimidate the press into not criticizing him.

As reported on The Washington City Paper web site, Danny Boi' got his mouth piece to threatened the owners of City Paper with financial ruin by law suit.

Quote -- "Mr. Snyder has more than sufficient means to protect his reputation.... We presume that defending such litigation would not be a rational strategy for an investment fund such as yours. Indeed, the cost of litigation would presumably quickly outstrip the asset value of the Washington City Paper."

Whoa!

Well, what is Danny Boi? A high lord sitting up in a squire manor? A wannabe mafia don? Or a knave?

Threatening the press? Idiot!

The City Paper is winning in the court of public opinion on this one. I missed the McKenna article, when published last November. I bet few who know of it now knew of it back then. Danny Boi has made Mr. McKenna's article well-read, and has made himself the butt of the 'Skin's community.

Update: 2/3/11, 11.19 A.M. -- In the news this morning, MSNBC is reporting that, Danny Boi filed  a $2 million lawsuit in New York on Wednesday against the parent company of the Washington City Paper. Danny Boi said City Paper has "engaged in an ongoing campaign" to "smear his business and personal reputation," has published more than 50 columns in which he "was the subject of derision, ridicule and/or vilification,"  Oh my! City Paper published the truth and Danny Boi calls it a smear. His suit should be tossed for abuse of court  system.
